About the Role

EliseAI is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal team and play a pivotal role in supporting all legal matters for a rapidly growing SaaS company at the forefront of AI innovation in housing and healthcare. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role offers the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of legal areas, from complex commercial contracting to regulatory compliance and product-related projects.

Responsibilities

Manage and prioritize a diverse portfolio of projects, balancing speed and precision.
Draft and negotiate customer, partner, and vendor contracts.
Establish scalable contracting processes.
Lead regulatory and compliance initiatives.
Track evolving laws.
Deliver training to ensure company-wide compliance.
Support HR, corporate governance, and operational matters.
Engage directly with customers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from a top law school.
Admission to practice in New York (or eligibility to waive in).
2–5 years of legal experience at a leading firm.
Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills.
Ability to distill complex regulations.
Ability to partner effectively with Sales and Finance.
Startup mindset, sense of ownership, and enthusiasm for fast-paced, high-impact work.
