About the Role
Join Macquarie Telecom’s Commercial team as a Commercial Analyst. This role involves owning the rolling forecast and month-end close, providing financial insights, and supporting decisions across pricing, products, vendors, and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with various teams to understand performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and apply emerging technology to enhance commercial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Own the rolling forecast and month-end close
- Turn financial results into meaningful commercial insight
- Provide modelling and analysis to support decisions across pricing, products, vendors and strategic initiatives
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to understand performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and shape future strategies
- Apply emerging technology to improve the quality, speed and efficiency of commercial analysis
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in finance, commercial or analytical roles
- Strong experience across forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and month-end
- Commercially curious and able to ask why numbers have moved and what should be done about it
- Confident working with large datasets and translating financial information into clear, actionable insights
- Comfortable building and reviewing business cases and constructively challenging assumptions
- Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to communicate financial outcomes to non-finance audiences
- Someone who enjoys improving processes, learning new technology and finding better ways to work
