About the Role

Endeavor is seeking a product-minded full-stack engineer to join their engineering team in Austin. This role involves deep involvement from the initial problem understanding and design phases through to implementation and shipping. Engineers will work across the full stack, owning significant product areas end-to-end, and will leverage AI heavily in the development process.

Responsibilities

Own product problems end-to-end, contributing to both 'what' and 'how' to build.
Build and ship production features across frontend, backend, APIs, database, and infrastructure.
Translate complex healthcare and financial workflows into simple, intuitive products.
Design APIs, data models, integrations, and internal systems for real-time financing workflows.
Collaborate with users and internal teams to understand problems and iterate on solutions.
Integrate with external platforms including lenders, banks, and payment providers.
Aggressively use AI development tools for prototyping, building, debugging, testing, and shipping.
Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, simplicity, reliability, and long-term architecture.
Own shipped features in production and drive continuous platform improvement.
Take on increasing ownership of technical and product decisions as the company grows.

Requirements

3+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent.
Strong full-stack web development experience.
Experience with React, Next.js, or a similar modern frontend framework.
Experience building backend applications and APIs.
Strong fundamentals in relational databases and SQL.
A track record of taking ownership and shipping meaningful production software.
Strong product instincts and ability to simplify ambiguous problems.
Comfort working in a startup environment with evolving priorities.
Good judgment regarding testing, security, reliability, and maintainability.
Experience in fintech, healthcare, payments, lending, or other regulated industries is a plus but not required.
Excitement about leveraging AI in the software engineering process.
Ability to whiteboard problems, review code together, and collaborate in person.
