About the Role
Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. The Geo team focuses on building accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps through products like Maps, Earth, and Street View, enabling developers to use Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites.
Responsibilities
- Work full-stack or across surfaces as needed to deliver features end-to-end.
- Deliver new navigation, search, and AI features for Google Maps on CarPlay.
- Manage the full software lifecycle, collaborating with PM and UX to define requirements.
- Design the implementation of new functionality, liaising with experienced executive developers.
- Lead other engineers on the team in projects they are responsible for.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience with iOS application development.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 1 year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
