About the Role

We are revolutionizing the massage industry in Germany by ensuring the right people are well-trained and in the right studio at the right time. People operations is a core function of our business, akin to supply chain management for a logistics company.

Responsibilities

Lead the People team, including approximately 5 FTE and 3 working students across three areas: Recruiting, Training/Onboarding/Academy, and People Operations & Payroll.
Manage recruiting efforts, aiming for around 30 hires per month, primarily massage therapists and receptionists, focusing on pipeline, funnel metrics, time-to-hire, and quality of hires.
Oversee monthly training sessions per city, onboarding processes, and quality standards to ensure new hires quickly reach the required proficiency.
Handle People Operations tasks, including using Personio, managing shift scheduling interfaces, contracts, in-house payroll, and ensuring compliance.
Develop processes, KPIs, and systems capable of supporting 30 hires per month and scaling to 60.
Act as the liaison between Operations, Studio Management, and the founding team, translating growth plans into personnel requirements.
Drive automation and tooling initiatives, including the use of Personio, Staffomatic, HubSpot, and AI-powered workflows.
Develop team members both professionally and as a leader.

Requirements

Experience from a staff function in a high-growth startup (e.g., Founders Associate, Chief of Staff, Business Operations, Strategy) and/or management consulting.
Desire to grow within the People domain, or ideally, prior experience in recruiting, HR Ops, or People Analytics.
Process-oriented thinking with a strong grasp of metrics and bottlenecks; ability to identify pipeline issues proactively.
Proven track record of operational responsibility, managing projects with multiple stakeholders, strict deadlines, and real performance pressure.
Leadership capabilities, able to guide teams without relying solely on hierarchy; prior team leadership experience is ideal.
Fluent in German and English.
Bonus: Experience with payroll, labor law, or service-oriented business models with high personnel volume (e.g., gastronomy, retail, fitness, healthcare).
