About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated receptionist to join our growing team at Canterbury Woods, a continuing care retirement community dedicated to providing older adults with the best possible living experience.
Responsibilities
- Answer the telephone, determine nature of call, and direct caller to appropriate individual or department.
- Greet residents, staff, visitors and guests warmly.
- Direct visitors to appropriate office and/or resident apartment.
- Monitor presence and location of visitors in the community and ensure adherence to Canterbury Woods rules of conduct.
- Report suspicious persons/information to supervisor immediately.
- Assist with administrative duties, including typing, filing, and mail distribution.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care and resident rights information.
- Ensure administrative supplies are replenished in work areas as necessary.
Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess a working knowledge of office equipment like printers and fax machines.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
