About the Role
U Value Insulation is seeking to recruit a full-time HGV driver to play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring timely, friendly, and dependable delivery services to customers.
Responsibilities
- Drive HGV truck on pre-planned routes.
- Ensure vehicle roadworthiness through routine checks.
- Drive and maintain the vehicle courteously, adhering to legislation, health and safety guidelines, and company policy.
- Report any vehicle defects immediately to the line/branch manager.
- Complete tachograph and other essential documents efficiently.
- Build effective working relationships with customers.
- Ensure correct loading of orders onto the vehicle per health and safety procedures.
- Complete proper documentation prior to departure for goods tracking.
- Obtain correct signatures on delivery notes as per company policy.
- Actively safeguard against theft of company goods or property.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the company.
Requirements
- Hold a Class 2 valid license.
- Experience with Moffett is an advantage (training can be provided).
- Possess a Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Willingness to support other branch staff with warehouse/yard or other duties.
- Experience of multi-site deliveries.
- Knowledge of company products.
