About the Role

We are seeking an experienced events leader to cover a 12-month maternity leave as Sr Manager, Strategic Events EMEA. This role will drive and execute Snowflake's PAN-EMEA events strategy, lead a team of six, and own planning for the next fiscal year. You will ensure EMEA is aligned with the Global Strategic Events function and collaborate with various marketing teams to deliver impactful event experiences that generate pipeline and enhance customer engagement. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for team performance, planning and reporting for Snowflake-owned events, and strategic oversight of high-profile third-party sponsorships.

Responsibilities

Own PAN-EMEA events strategy and planning, ensuring alignment with regional pipeline goals, the Global Strategic Events roadmap, and EMEA marketing priorities.
Lead and develop a team of six, including four direct reports, setting clear objectives, managing development plans, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Oversee and manage key Snowflake-led programmes such as World Tour, Data for Breakfast series, and EMEA presence at global tentpole events.
Steer strategic alignment, cross-functional coordination, and performance management for major third-party event investments.
Shape executive programming for high-profile moments to ensure meaningful C-level engagement.
Drive measurable pipeline impact by partnering with Field Marketing, Sales, SDR, and Partner teams.
Manage the overall EMEA events budget, including forecasting, spend management, and ROI analysis.
Act as the connective tissue between Global Strategic Events and EMEA marketing functions for consistent messaging and seamless execution.
Bring innovative ideas and formats to differentiate Snowflake in the market.

Requirements

10+ years in B2B event or field marketing, with 3+ years in leadership roles managing teams and large-scale event portfolios.
Proven track record delivering strategic events that drive pipeline and revenue in enterprise technology or SaaS.
Strong people leader experienced in managing distributed teams.
Exceptional executive presence with the ability to engage confidently with C-level stakeholders.
Experience leading annual events planning, including building a portfolio case, budget, goals, and securing buy-in.
Highly collaborative with the ability to align multiple marketing functions and stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing significant event budgets and ROI analysis.
Comfortable stepping into an established team and programme mid-flight and delivering impact within a fixed-term engagement.
Willing to travel across EMEA as needed, including on-site at major events.
