About the Role
We are opening a brand new product hub in South Korea and looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the launch and expansion of Wise's product not just in South Korea, but in some of our most core, fastest growing Asian markets. You will be a hands-on senior PM leading a cross-functional team of engineers and analysts based in Seoul, collaborating with a wider product, compliance, engineering, and marketing team across Singapore and Japan.
Responsibilities
- Own core APAC markets end-to-end, acting as the primary product owner for markets with conviction or demonstrated product-market fit.
- Ship features, products, and customer experiences in APAC by working with a large team.
- Design, experiment, improve, expand, and iterate on new products to drive measurable growth.
- Lead new market entry for critical markets, including positioning, product scoping, license acquisition, and launch.
- Collaborate with regional marketing, pricing, and operations teams to drive go-to-market strategy.
- Utilize data relentlessly to inform decisions, forecast outcomes, and measure impact.
- Collaborate across functions with designers, engineers, analysts, compliance, banking teams, and regional leadership to move fast and ship impactful products.
Requirements
- At least 4+ years in product roles post-graduation.
- Proven track record of shipping products at scale.
- Ability to operate hands-on and detailed.
- Demonstrated strategic, high-level thinking.
- Ability to forecast and own first and second-order effects of decisions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to scope, build conviction, and drive initiatives forward.
- Experience convincing partners, colleagues, and customers across cultures and time zones.
- Experience in go-to-market execution, at startups, or modern tech or finance companies is a strong plus.
- Strong iterative capability, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to turn fuzzy problems into structured plans.
- Ability to treasure and heed others’ opinions while sticking to a vision.
- Ability to run queries or partner with analysts to deep-dive into data.
- Ability to articulate clearly why a product works or doesn't.
- Ability to dig deep and run high-quality research to drive product opinions.
- Experience in banking, payments, remittances, or adjacent fintech is highly valued.
- Experience in market launches, licensing, or regulatory work in Asia is a plus.
- Background in fintech, neobanks, crypto exchanges, super-apps, or API/platform products is a plus.
- Startup or scale-up founder experience is a plus.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken Korean is preferred.
