About the Role

As a City Launcher, you will expand a Brodie market in a neighborhood you already come from. Your responsibilities include recruiting founding captains, sourcing and validating venues, filling gyms, and running the launch season. You will be the face of Brodie in your city, building genuine relationships with players and contributing to the growth playbook for future cities.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit a minimum of 24 captains per league.
  • Walk into gyms/courts you already know and bring Brodie into familiar rooms.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key community influencers.
  • Drive the referral program to make captains and players your largest recruiting channel.
  • Be visible in your neighborhood weekly as part of your normal life.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and secure suitable gyms.
  • Run the sales sequence: soft close the venue, prove demand, then sign.
  • Own and track sales metrics in CRM, including teams signed, fill rate, and revenue.
  • Escalate issues early when behind on targets.
  • Own the local demand story from zero to a full gym.
  • Run the location's social media page to build anticipation and a waitlist.
  • Host open runs and live events to convert interest into signed teams.
  • Leverage local distribution channels for marketing and partnerships.
  • Attend game nights to build relationships with players and stakeholders.
  • Monitor league health (retention, team count, waitlist, feedback) during the season.
  • Partner with Operations on game-night execution while owning growth, revenue, and community.
  • Help build the repeatable launch playbook for future Brodie cities.
  • Earn the right to expand into adjacent cities as your territory grows.

Requirements

  • Live in or directly beside the neighborhood where the market is launching.
  • Possess an existing network in the local basketball community.
  • Be an active participant in the basketball community, playing in a rec league or visiting gyms weekly.
  • Have standing in your scene, where your recommendations lead to action.
  • Be able to name your first ten captains and have the credibility to contact them.
  • Be comfortable building demand from scratch with little to no budget.
  • Possess the ability to close deals with facility owners and captains.
  • Be comfortable owning a number, working in a CRM, and adopting new tools.
  • Be available on evenings and weekends for game nights.
  • Willingness to travel across your territory as it expands.
