About the Role
This role provides a path and training for becoming a licensed Financial Consultant, with guidance from senior staff. The goal is to meet Financial Consultant job requirements within six months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Complete necessary preparation for Securities Industry Essentials exam and Series 7 exam, sitting for both within 90 days of hire with passing scores.
- Complete necessary preparation for Series 66 exam, sitting for it within 30 days of passing Series 7.
- Complete necessary preparation for New York Life, Accident & Health licensing exam, sitting for it within 30 days of passing Series 66.
- Complete Internal Office Essentials training and Bank training in a timely fashion.
- Maintain active awareness and understanding of rules and regulations affecting the investment and insurance business.
- Accompany Financial Consultants and Senior Financial Consultants on client meetings.
- Understand LPL operating systems, sales, proposal and reporting tools.
- Comply with SEC, FINRA, NYS Life Insurance Law, federal and state regulations, and broker dealer policies and procedures.
- Complete CE and licensing requirements as needed.
- Stay current with new and existing legislation and laws pertaining to financial services and tax issues.
- Attend sales and trade meetings or conferences to develop new sales skills or product knowledge.
- Utilize wholesalers for education and sales training.
- Conform to General Performance Expectations.
Requirements
- Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and math.
- Strong communicator and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to travel.
- Valid driver's license required.
Experience Level
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service preferred
Education Level
- BA or BS in related field preferred
Salary/Compensations
- $19.00 to $29.00 Annually
