About the Role
Premier Research is seeking a Director, Business Development to join their Business Development team. This role is crucial in helping biotech, medtech, and specialty pharma companies bring life-changing ideas and breakthrough science to market. The company emphasizes employee growth, skill development, and work-life balance, valuing employee input and contributions to medical innovation.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, qualifies, and secures client meetings for potential business opportunities related to clinical research and consulting services for target and exploratory accounts.
- Obtains Requests for Proposals (RFPs), assists in proposal development, and facilitates client presentations.
- Secures contract awards based on sales efforts and targets, and assists with maintaining client satisfaction by monitoring and assisting with change orders for current contracts.
- Provides project team support as appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of three years of direct experience in consultative sales (preferably in CRO or related service industry).
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical drug development and/or medical device development processes.
- Ability to perform overnight business travel, up to 60%.
