About the Role
ALC Steel Corporation is seeking an organized, motivated professional to grow into a Project Manager. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn all aspects of commercial steel fabrication and installation while working directly with company leadership.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and estimators with commercial steel projects from award through closeout.
- Review architectural and structural drawings.
- Coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
- Prepare RFIs and track responses.
- Assist with estimating, takeoffs, and material pricing.
- Coordinate purchasing and vendor quotations.
- Help schedule fabrication and field installation.
- Participate in field measurements and site visits.
- Track project budgets, change orders, and schedules.
- Work with fabrication shop and field crews to keep projects moving.
- Help improve estimating systems and AI-driven workflows.
Requirements
- 2+ years of construction, fabrication, engineering, or project coordination experience.
- Ability to read construction drawings or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
Skills
- Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar software is a plus.
