About the Role
Jack & Jill is seeking a Founding Community and Events Lead to establish a strong presence in London's startup ecosystem. This role involves designing and executing high-impact events and amplifying them through content to grow the company's audience and generate pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute high-impact events including career fairs, founder dinners, and meetups.
- Amplify events through content creation (recaps, clips, photos) across social media platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, X).
- Own events end to end, from concept and logistics to execution and follow-up.
- Grow a social media following around event content.
- Activate and expand a network of founders, VCs, and operators in London.
- Connect events and content to awareness and pipeline, measuring effectiveness.
- Work from our London HQ alongside the UK GTM team.
Requirements
- Experience running high-volume event series and amplifying them on social media with measurable reach.
- Experience in events, community, or content roles at a startup, fintech, or VC-adjacent company, preferably in London.
- Recognized connector in the London ecosystem with a strong network.
- Proven ability to build something from zero (community, meet-up, event series, following) as a hands-on doer.
- Ability to connect events to pipeline and be measured on results.
- Experience with the 0-to-1 reality of an early-stage startup.
- Bonus: Experience running events or communities at a VC fund or accelerator.
- Bonus: First community/events/partnerships hire who built the function from scratch.
- Bonus: Experience tying community work to sign-ups, acquisition, or partnerships with measurable results.
- Genuine excitement about AI and the future of hiring.
- UK right to work strongly preferred.
- Visa sponsorship is possible in exceptional cases but will slow the process.
