About the Role
Ekimetrics is seeking a Senior Business Scientist to join their Data & AI Transformation Services (DATS) team. This role bridges business, consulting, AI, and data expertise to frame high-value use cases, translate business needs into AI opportunities, and drive adoption, working alongside AI, Data, and Software Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day client relationships with business and CDO/CIO sponsors, understanding their strategic and operational challenges.
- Frame high-value Data & AI use cases and translate business needs into AI opportunities, from ambition and roadmap to Proof of Value and MVP.
- Act as Data & AI Product Owner, owning the product vision and backlog, prioritizing with sponsors, writing and accepting user stories, and steering squad delivery.
- Align business teams, leadership, and ExCo around the AI roadmap and transformation priorities.
- Own the business value and adoption of solutions, including operating model, usage, impact measurement, Responsible AI, and governance.
- Challenge feasibility and industrialization with the Tech Lead and Engineers; you are technical enough to steer GenAI, LLM, agentic, and ML solutions without building models yourself.
- Contribute to the Transformation Cockpit, including maturity measurement, adoption KPIs, and steering AI value over time.
- Work within a multidisciplinary squad, applying Ekimetrics' DATS methods and tailoring them to client needs.
- Coordinate the business side of the squad and monitor delivery and profitability with manager support.
- Develop and share best practices, methodologies, and DATS assets across the Data & AI Transformation community.
- Stay up-to-date with AI, GenAI, ML, and agentic technologies and their business impact.
- Contribute to internal AI initiatives, accelerators, and thought leadership.
- Identify opportunities for Data & AI transformation within existing client accounts.
- Contribute to account development, renewals, and project scoping.
- Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and pitches.
- Support the development of new DATS offerings and use cases.
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and development of Data & AI Transformation talent.
- Mentor and coach Junior Business Scientists and interns.
- Develop and deliver internal AI / Data training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- Senior level experience leading client engagements, coordinating teams, and contributing to business development.
- Hybrid business-tech profile capable of connecting business value, data, AI/GenAI, and technology adoption.
- Proven product ownership experience on data or AI products (backlog, prioritization, agile delivery).
- Experience facing senior stakeholders and driving change or transformation beyond pilot delivery.
