About the Role

Senior Enterprise Account Managers will own the strategic vision, growth, and optimization of programs for DoorDash's most complex and strategically important corporate customers in North America. This role involves leading high-value expansion opportunities, building trusted executive relationships, and consistently meeting quarterly revenue and expansion quotas. The position carries a higher growth expectation, typically reflected in a larger quota and/or a portfolio of higher-value accounts, requiring a high degree of autonomy in setting account strategy, anticipating risks, and leading complex commercial conversations and cross-functional efforts with minimal direction. Additionally, Senior Account Managers are expected to extend their impact through proactive coaching, scalable growth playbooks, and ownership of team-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own a growth-focused portfolio of complex enterprise customers and deliver against quarterly revenue and expansion quotas through cross-sell, upsell, product adoption, and new use-case development.
  • Identify, develop, negotiate, and close large, strategic expansion opportunities across departments, locations, business units, and customer entities.
  • Build and execute account plans that engage multiple stakeholders, uncover whitespace, align with customers’ business priorities, and establish a clear path to measurable revenue growth.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive decision-makers and lead high-stakes growth conversations, commercial negotiations, and customer escalations.
  • Own executive business reviews, using data and customer insights to demonstrate value, influence decisions, and secure alignment on expansion opportunities and next steps.
  • Anticipate and address account risks, navigating complex organizational structures, commercial terms, and operational dependencies while protecting customer health and retention.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts with S&O, Analytics, Product, and other partners, aligning stakeholders around recommendations and resolving competing priorities to advance customer and business outcomes.
  • Own and scale team-wide initiatives that improve how growth opportunities are identified, pursued, and executed, driving adoption and measuring results.
  • Proactively coach peers, share successful strategies, and develop repeatable playbooks that strengthen performance across Account Management and the broader sales organization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise account management, customer growth, or consultative sales, with a sustained record of success managing complex, high-value customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated success achieving revenue and expansion quotas, including personally leading large cross-sell and upsell opportunities from discovery through negotiation and close.
  • Ability to navigate complex enterprise organizations, engage multiple stakeholders, and influence executive decision-makers to secure commercial commitments.
  • Ability to translate customer priorities and data into strategic account plans, compelling business cases, and new opportunities for growth.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, anticipating risks, setting priorities, and bringing forward clear recommendations with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to create structure in ambiguous situations, identify root causes, and develop durable solutions that can benefit multiple accounts or the broader team.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and building alignment across senior stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to lead executive presentations, negotiations, and sensitive customer conversations.
  • Track record of extending impact through proactive coaching, mentorship, process improvements, or ownership of initiatives that improve team performance.
  • Ability to use data from multiple sources to assess customer performance, prioritize opportunities, and maintain accurate pipeline reporting and revenue forecasts.
  • Experience using CRM software, such as Salesforce, to manage account strategy, pipeline, and forecasting.
