About the Role
This internship focuses on developing bare-metal embedded firmware for ARM Cortex-M processors and automating the build and test process. You will work hands-on with an experienced team in one of Cirrus Logic’s growing development sites. This opportunity is available for the summer semester only and is for students currently enrolled in an MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering with a GPA of 3.5 or above, who will return to school for at least one semester post-internship. Full-time employment is required during the internship.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded firmware solutions for ARM Cortex-M processors.
- Use Python to automate the build, loading, and testing processes for embedded solutions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an MS or PhD program in Electrical Engineering with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Must be returning to school for at least one semester following the internship.
- Available for full-time employment during the internship.
- Must be based within commutable distance of the work location or willing to relocate.
- Must be able to access technical data without requiring an export license.
- Unable to sponsor or obtain export licenses for this role.
Skills
- Embedded firmware development experience or coursework.
- Python 3x programming experience.
- Experience developing bare-metal firmware for ARM Cortex-M or RISC-V processors.
- Experience with Git.
- Familiarity with CI systems like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Experience using Python to automate software build and test processes.
