About the Role
Rockville Centre for Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care using modern technology and possess strong interpersonal skills to ensure positive patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside dental assisting.
- Take traditional impressions.
- Fabricate night guards/whitening trays using a suck down unit and tools.
- Perform ZOOM Teeth Whitening procedures.
- Assist with perio, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, implant placement, and general/cosmetic/family dentistry.
- Administer neuromodulators/dermal fillers.
- Cover Mondays as needed, with advance notice and switching another day.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years chairside dental assisting experience.
- Strong computer skills required for a paperless and digital office.
- Proficiency with Dentrix Practice Management Software.
- Experience with DEXIS Digital Imaging and DTX Studio 3D/CBCT Imaging.
- Familiarity with iTero Scanner & Trios Scanner is helpful.
- Familiarity with performing ZOOM Teeth Whitening procedures is helpful.
- Familiarity with multispecialty procedures (perio, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, implant placement, neuromodulators/dermal fillers) is helpful.
- Ability to fabricate night guards/whitening trays using a suck down unit and tools is helpful.
- Familiarity with administration/front desk is preferred.
- Willingness to be part of a team.
