About the Role

The Civil/Structural team tackles complex structural engineering challenges, often involving dynamic load effects from seismic, blast, and impact. We go beyond code checks to understand structural response and failure mechanisms, considering ductility, nonlinear buckling, and soil structure interaction. Our work involves rigorous validation and justification for nuclear safety regulators, making this a highly varied and challenging role for civil/structural engineers.

Responsibilities

Inter-discipline project planning, delivery, and financial performance
Ensuring technical quality and excellence of project deliverables
Providing technical and professional guidance, support, and development to junior engineers and technicians
Adhering to and contributing to business and quality management systems
Managing operational and design safety, and developing a strong safety culture

Requirements

Good all-round technical design expertise using British/Eurocodes, ideally in heavy industrial scale Structures
Proven ability to manage projects and prepare project deliverables, including managing quality, budget, programme, and resources
Proven ability in preparing bids and proposals, and developing good working relationships with clients
