About the Role

We are seeking a strategic narrative leader to own and evolve Maven's go-to-market narrative. This role is responsible for defining how Maven communicates its value to employers, health plans, clients, and members. It requires a blend of strategic thinking and high-quality writing, with fluency in using AI for research, thought, and writing.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve Maven's core narrative, ensuring a coherent story connecting employer value and member experience.
  • Shape the overarching narrative for major company moments, including new product launches and strategic partnerships.
  • Own narrative for existing clients across key moments to drive stakeholder engagement and partnership expansion.
  • Own the primary corporate pitch deck and maintain its currency with product strategy, clinical evidence, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to ensure product positioning is integrated within the company narrative.
  • Translate clinical research, outcomes data, and product capabilities into credible stories for executive buyers and clients.
  • Build and maintain a living narrative system, including messaging hierarchy, core value propositions, and usage guidelines.
  • Build feedback loops with Growth and field teams to understand the effectiveness of messaging in buyer and member conversations.

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience shaping narrative or messaging at a high-growth technology, healthcare, or consumer-facing company.
  • Experience operating at the intersection of B2B and consumer audiences, ideally in healthcare, healthtech, or another regulated industry.
  • Proven ability to build positioning designed to win deals and understand narrative as a commercial instrument.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of articulating financial impact to executives and expressing clinical rigor and empathy to members.
  • Systems thinking approach to building narrative infrastructure, not just one-off deliverables.
  • Comfort working with data (outcomes studies, utilization rates, financial impact) and translating numbers into coherent arguments.
  • Proficiency in using AI and emerging technologies to accelerate research, refine ideas, and scale narrative development.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners through clarity, credibility, and collaboration.
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly gain expertise at the intersection of healthcare, business, and clinical evidence.
  • Background in management consulting combined with in-house operating experience is a plus.
  • Experience with go-to-market narrative development at deal speed is a plus.
  • Experience in healthtech or another regulated industry where rigor and accessibility coexist is a plus.
  • Experience with messaging work that moved real outcomes is a plus.
  • Experience building a function or practice from scratch is a plus.
  • Requires active work authorization in the US.
