About the Role

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the development and market adaptation of dental products for the Japanese market. This role will focus on market forecasting to drive data-informed decisions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring products are developed to meet the needs of the Japanese market, comply with regulatory requirements, and are launched effectively.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage product roadmaps aligned with global strategies while addressing Japanese market-specific requirements.
Conduct thorough market research, including competitor analysis and customer segmentation, to forecast product demand and identify growth opportunities in the Japanese dental market.
Collaborate with R&D teams and dental professionals to develop innovative products for the Japanese market, including dental equipment, digital solutions, and advanced treatment options.
Create sales forecasts based on market analysis, historical data, and customer feedback to support realistic sales targets and inventory planning.
Ensure product compliance with Japanese regulations, including obtaining necessary approvals from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) and the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA).
Serve as the primary liaison between the Japanese team and global divisions, facilitating clear communication on market needs, product requirements, and timelines.
Develop Go-to-Market strategies and lead product launches for the Japanese market in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
Collect and analyze feedback from Japanese dental professionals and patients to identify areas for improvement and inform future product development.
Analyze product performance based on KPIs set for the Japanese market and generate forecasts and reports to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
Stay updated on market trends, technological innovations, and challenges in the Japanese dental industry, including patient needs and emerging dental technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; a background in dentistry or medical fields is a plus.
Over 5 years of product management experience.
Experience in the dental, medical device, or healthcare industry is preferred, with practical experience in the Japanese market.
Native or fluent proficiency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
Proven experience in demand forecasting, data analysis, and market research, with the ability to derive actionable insights and forecasts.
Knowledge of Japanese regulatory processes, including MHLW and PMDA requirements for medical devices.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience in Agile/Scrum development.
Deep understanding of the Japanese dental market and a passion for creating solutions that meet the needs of Japanese dental professionals and patients.
