About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer who enjoys working on complex, established systems and bringing modern engineering standards to existing codebases. We value individuals who think in sustainable technical solutions, can quickly learn existing systems, tackle technical debt systematically, and make pragmatic decisions balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
Responsibilities
- Working on a specific specialized application for outpatient care
- Clarifying technical requirements with stakeholders
- Owning API interfaces trusted by major German healthcare providers
- Further developing our LLM harnesses for Agentic Development
- Supporting Product Owners in certification processes
Requirements
- Solid experience in full-stack software development (minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 2+ years of professional experience or equivalent / IT Specialist Application Development with 3+ years of professional experience)
- Experience with refactoring, monorepositories, and evolving legacy codebases
- Very good knowledge of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript, along with Docker experience
- Experience with API-first architectures and OpenAPI
- Good understanding of software architecture, scalability, and maintainability
- Solid knowledge in code security and secure software development
- Experience with AI-powered development tools like Claude Code and modern approaches to harness engineering
- Experience in the efficient use of LLMs in the development process, particularly regarding token efficiency, context management, and automated workflows
- Ideally, experience in regulated or safety-critical environments, e.g., healthcare, aviation, or comparable industries
