About the Role

This role combines conceptual understanding with operational execution on-site. The ideal candidate will understand, plan, install, commission, and independently troubleshoot technical solutions. While existing basic concepts will be continued, the role will also contribute to the development of new basic concepts.

Responsibilities

Planning, preparation, installation, and commissioning of professional audio, video, and media technology solutions.
Selection and technical evaluation of suitable components and manufacturers within the framework of predefined or jointly developed system concepts.
Configuration and integration of room control, signal management, audio, video, and IP-based AV systems.
Independent analysis and resolution of technical faults during installations and in service cases, aiming to limit escalations to the responsible engineer to necessary cases.
Pragmatic technical decisions within the defined scope of responsibility and value limits.
Hands-on assembly on-site, e.g., wall mounting of displays and cameras, and installation and mounting of loudspeakers and other AV components.
Performance of functional tests, commissioning, acceptance, and technical handovers.
Technical support for customer briefings and training.
Creation or contribution to technical documentation, installation, and handover documents.
Collaboration with engineering, project management, and other internal departments.
Project deployment throughout Germany, as a day trip, with overnight stays, or for several days or weeks, depending on the project.

Requirements

Completed vocational training, ideally as a specialist for event technology, in media technology, or a comparable technical qualification.
Approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience after completing training in professional media, AV, or system integration technology.
Demonstrable experience in the independent planning, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of AV systems.
Very good practical knowledge in at least several of our key manufacturer ecosystems: Crestron, Q-SYS / QSC, and Kramer Electronics.
Experience with room control and AV control systems, as well as their planning, configuration, and implementation.
Sound knowledge of audio and microphone technology, and ideally experience with manufacturers such as Shure, Sennheiser, and Yamaha.
Experience with camera technology and IP-based AV components or AV-over-IP environments.
Strong manual dexterity and willingness to perform installations practically.
Proficient in technical troubleshooting and systematic problem-solving.
Valid driver's license Class B.
Unrestricted willingness for business trips throughout Germany.
