About the Role
This Business Development role primarily exists to support the growth of OPP accounts within NSW, in particular metro Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Generate leads and new business opportunities using expertise.
- Meet with prospective customers in person, providing a consultative solution-selling approach to understand their business needs and how Opal can provide value.
- Establish and grow newly won accounts before handing them over to an account manager.
- Coordinate planning of key target accounts and proactively manage them over time.
- Perform commercial appraisal of customers to determine engagement strategy.
Requirements
- Established track record of developing and winning new business.
- Proven ability to build relationships and business with new customers.
- Resilience, persistence, energy, and passion.
- Previous experience in a 100% new business sales role achieving success in a competitive market.
- Prior experience selling business consumables, industrial products or services, a technical sales background, or trade sales experience.
- CRM experience.
