About the Role
Thri5 is building the AI-powered execution layer for the modern retailer. Join us to build at the intersection of AI, data, product, and real-world retail operations, shaping the product and engineering practices of an early-stage company.
Responsibilities
- Own major parts of the product end-to-end — from customer problem and technical design through production
- Build AI-powered workflows, agents, and customer-facing features
- Design backend services, APIs, data models, and data pipelines
- Make architectural decisions as the product and customer base scale
- Improve reliability, observability, security, and performance
- Evaluate and incorporate new AI capabilities into our product
- Review code and help establish strong engineering practices across the team
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of designing, building, and operating high-quality production systems
- Ability to independently scope ambiguous problems, make sound architectural decisions, and drive solutions through production
- Strong backend development experience, including APIs, databases, and system architecture
- Strong product judgment and an interest in understanding the customer problems behind what you build
- Experience working in fast-moving teams and building new products
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
