About the Role
As Fleet Lead, you will run the team that makes Isaac learn from people, owning the day-to-day operation of Weave's robot fleet and leading the operators who keep the fleet running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This is a metrics-driven and hands-on leadership role focused on identifying key metrics, instrumenting the team around them, and managing actively against them, while caring deeply about the people doing the work.
Responsibilities
- Run fleet operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
- Define and own key metrics for data collection outcomes, including quality, throughput, uptime, and efficiency.
- Actively manage the operator team by setting clear expectations, reviewing performance, and coaching for growth.
- Plan staffing and coverage, coordinating schedules and shifting priorities.
- Respond to incidents by monitoring fleet health, triaging issues, and coordinating responses.
- Build the playbook by creating and refining SOPs, training materials, and operating procedures.
- Lead from the front by stepping into operational workflows to support the team when needed.
Requirements
- Proven leadership track record in robotics, fleet operations, logistics, field service, or a similar operational environment.
- Experience managing people to measurable outcomes and fostering success.
- Strong understanding of data collection and the ability to identify key metrics to drive daily decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to balance accountability with empathy, providing direct feedback and investing in team growth.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with experience coordinating people and schedules.
- Comfort with technical tools beyond standard office software.
- Ability to solve problems under pressure and remain calm during time-sensitive incidents.
- Strong documentation habits and effective collaboration with engineering teams.
- An all-hands-on-deck mindset suited for a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
