About the Role
The Corporate and Infrastructure team at S&P Global Ratings delivers independent credit opinions across infrastructure and project finance sectors, helping market participants navigate complexity with confidence. This is a high-exposure opportunity where you will build your expertise while contributing directly to the team's strategic priorities across a globally significant sector.
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior analytical leadership and global teams to advance strategic analytical priorities across the Corporate and Infrastructure practice
- Conduct portfolio, credit, and market analysis using large datasets to identify trends, risks, and insights that support rating quality, research, and decision-making
- Develop and enhance analytical tools, models, and dashboards that improve transparency, risk assessment, and efficiency for credit analysis
- Support research and criteria initiatives, including cross-practice analysis and the drafting of analytical reports and related materials
- Coordinate key Global Infrastructure analytical forums, strengthening the documentation and communication of analytical priorities across the team
- Contribute to capability-building initiatives, gaining broad exposure to senior analytical leaders and global teams across Infrastructure and Project Finance
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis, with experience related to project finance, infrastructure, structured finance, or comparable credit analysis
- Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency with Excel, financial models, and financial data, with the ability to synthesize complex information and large datasets to support credit analysis and research
- Demonstrated research and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to analyze non-routine issues, exercise sound judgment, and translate findings into actionable insights
- Highly organized and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- English: Fluent (able to conduct meetings, collaborate effectively, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally)
- Direct experience in project finance transactions, infrastructure sectors, structured finance methodologies, or related credit structures
- Experience developing analytical tools, applications, or dashboards designed to improve analytical efficiency and transparency
- Experience with advanced programming languages, data analytics, automation, or AI-enabled analytical tools
- Understanding of relevant industry trends and market dynamics in infrastructure and project finance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- A master's degree or professional certification (such as CFA) is highly valued
- Candidates from traditional finance disciplines as well as diverse academic backgrounds that support innovative and critical thinking are welcome
- All candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process must attend at least one in-person interview
- Employees are required to work from the office a minimum of two days per week
