About the Role
The Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) is seeking a Program Lead to drive end-to-end program execution within the AI/HPC Data Center Lab. This role serves as the primary interface between the program and its stakeholders, translating requirements into daily priorities and providing leadership for high-quality execution.
Responsibilities
- Own program execution, tracking, reporting, and driving daily progress against milestones and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary interface to the program, translating requirements into actionable daily priorities and redirecting team efforts.
- Provide leadership and direction to lab engineers and cross-functional contributors to meet daily execution goals.
- Manage requirements intake, clarifying and decomposing program requirements into executable tasks.
- Coordinate new program deployments in partnership with the on-site Program PM, ensuring smooth bring-up, resource readiness, and stakeholder alignment.
- Drive triage and issue resolution for system-, firmware-, and software-level issues during platform bring-up and validation.
- Maintain visibility into lab health, system availability, and execution blockers, escalating risks proactively.
- Facilitate communication between DPEG platform leads, chief engineers, and lab engineers to align priorities and resolve dependencies.
- Integrate and oversee automated testing within CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible) for continuous validation.
- Manage and report within a ticketing system, ensuring clarity on task status, blockers, and resolution steps.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading technical programs or engineering teams in a data center, HPC, or GPU lab environment.
- Strong understanding of hardware bring-up, silicon validation, and pre-production platform deployment.
- Ability to interpret and act on program requirements, translating them into clear daily priorities for engineering teams.
- Experience interfacing with cross-functional stakeholders including platform leads, chief engineers, and program managers.
- Knowledge of in lab infrastructure including test bench setup, system administration, and fault detection/management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Ansible) and managed ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of computer hardware (GPU, CPU/APU, memory, PCIe, bus logic) and software architecture (driver/BIOS).
- Strong communication and documentation skills, able to clearly convey status, risks, and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and drive tasks to completion in a dynamic environment.
