About the Role
Responsible for conducting social development training, coordinating dormitory activities, and managing dormitory operations including safety, security, administration, and training.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Residential Advisors, providing feedback and support.
- Monitor and evaluate dormitory situations, making decisions or recommendations.
- Coordinate dormitory activities, including recreation, entertainment, and learning.
- Guide students in developing positive attitudes, proper behavior, and self-management skills.
- Arrange student visits to Counselors.
- Patrol dormitories and center to ensure safety and proper student behavior.
- Prepare daily operations reports and administrative correspondence.
- Direct and assist students with dormitory cleanup.
- Recommend or requisition supplies for dormitory living and student safety.
- Conduct group sessions and maintain documentation.
- Participate in Career Preparation Period (CPP) activities as assigned.
- Provide guidance in social skills development and self-management.
- Maintain accountability of students and property.
- Adhere to safety practices.
- Model, mentor, and monitor the positive normative culture of the center.
- Act as a responsible custodian for assigned center property.
- Report violations of ethical behavior.
- Suggest opportunities for continuous operational improvement and waste reduction.
- Identify and report environmental health and safety concerns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of related experience in counseling, social work, rehabilitation, or vocational guidance or working with youth.
- Ability to promote the Career Success Standards (CSS) by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students, and monitoring behaviors through interventions.
- Ability to drive, if position requires, with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- I-9 documentation required to verify authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
