About the Role
The Sales Associate will support the Store Leadership Team to achieve company goals and initiatives by modeling and maintaining excellent customer service, product knowledge, and selling techniques. They will also uphold company standards for merchandise presentation, replenishment, sizing, and store cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer activity with urgency, prioritizing customer assistance.
- Greet and acknowledge customers, providing appropriate service levels.
- Communicate merchandise value, quality, promotions, and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
- Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
- Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
- Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap, educating customers on the PLACE Card.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure representation of all sizes and styles.
- Follow company standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
- Support and maintain a neat, clean, and organized stockroom, adhering to customer-ready and safety requirements.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
- Ensure adherence to all Loss Prevention procedures to guarantee company assets.
- Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
- Contribute focused efforts towards achievement of store goals.
- Process stock as necessary, exhibiting flexibility.
- Adhere to safety requirements.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including weekends, overnights, evenings, and call-in shifts.
- Ability to maneuver on sales floor and stockroom; climb ladder, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
