About the Role
As an experienced Technical Writer & Trainer, you will be instrumental in making complex technologies understandable and usable. You will lead the creation of clear, comprehensive technical documentation and design effective training programs. Your expertise in didactic preparation, content management, and agile project management will ensure that internal and external target groups efficiently acquire the necessary knowledge. You will utilize your strong skills in target group analysis, terminology management, and e-learning authoring tools to empower our teams and partners through accessible information and engaging learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Development, organization, and maintenance of technical documentation for open-source cloud components, including APIs, deployment guides, and user manuals
- Creation of API documentation, developer guides, architecture overviews, and CLI references
- Creation of runbooks for the operational management of the platform
- Conception and execution of training courses and train-the-trainer programs (enablement modules)
- Development of training concepts for Kubernetes-based cloud infrastructure
- Implementation of Documentation-as-Code practices with version control (Git), CI/CD integration, and automated build processes
Requirements
- Experience in the development, organization, and maintenance of technical documentation for open-source cloud components, including APIs, deployment guides, and user manuals
- Strong ability to explain complex cloud and network concepts clearly and concisely
- Experience in writing API documentation, developer guides, architecture overviews, and CLI references
- Familiarity with Documentation-as-Code practices – version control (Git), CI/CD integration, and automated builds
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies (KVM, containers, Kubernetes)
- Experience in the conception and execution of technical training and training materials
- Native-level German language skills and fluent English in speaking and writing
