About the Role
The Vice President of Theme Park Marketing is a strategic leader responsible for driving attendance, revenue, and brand loyalty for a theme park. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and business acumen to develop and execute marketing campaigns that capture the imagination of potential guests and keep the park at the forefront of the industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy, including market research, goal setting, and a cohesive marketing mix.
- Oversee the development and execution of marketing initiatives for new attractions, products, services, events, and seasonal offerings.
- Manage and optimize marketing budgets, allocating resources effectively and tracking campaign performance.
- Identify and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize return on investment (ROI).
- Lead and build a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Encourage innovation and creative thinking within the marketing team.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal departments and external partners.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and entertainment departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Develop and manage partnerships with media outlets, travel agencies, and tourism organizations.
- Build strong relationships with industry influencers and bloggers.
- Stay ahead of industry trends by researching emerging trends and implementing innovative strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive, results-driven experience in executive-level marketing.
- Significant leadership background in the theme park, hospitality, or a related high-volume entertainment industry.
- A minimum of 5 years serving in a senior management or director-level capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience overseeing multi-million dollar budgets.
- Proven track record in developing and executing enterprise-wide marketing strategies that drive attendance, revenue growth, and brand equity.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex marketing data and performance metrics into actionable strategic insights.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills required to effectively influence C-suite decisions and motivate large, diverse teams.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into clear, executable plans.
- Possesses a visionary and creative outlook.
- Deep, data-driven understanding of global consumer behavior trends and competitive dynamics of the theme park industry.
- Events may be in an outdoor setting with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and different terrains.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate however, during events, the noise level may be loud.
- Occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
