About the Role
Inspect vehicles thoroughly to create trusted Vehicle Condition Reports, traveling to dealerships and logistics centers. This role involves being mobile, building customer relationships, and ensuring accuracy in vehicle assessments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle inspections at various locations including dealerships, physical auctions, and off-site locations.
- Identify, assess, and document structural damage, frame condition, previous and substandard paintwork, alignment of vehicle body panels, and detect missing parts and mechanical problems.
- Utilize training and industry best practices, adhering to management-provided work instructions and procedures for inspections and documentation.
- Develop strong customer relationships to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy to minimize arbitrations.
- Follow all applicable safety and health procedures.
- May be required to locate, start, and move vehicles.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess reliable transportation to travel to and from assignments.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Must be dependable.
Skills
- Problem solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of web-based applications
- Working knowledge of automotive inspection tools
