About the Role

We are looking for our next great team member to join our management team and lead our Housekeeping Department.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring and leading the Housekeeping staff to ensure excellent quality of service to our guests.
  • Providing clear direction in assigning and instructing housekeeping and laundry staff in details of work.
  • Planning, organizing, and monitoring staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by hotel.
  • Conducting continuous visual inspection of guest rooms and public space areas including restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, etc.
  • Managing finances of housekeeping and laundry operations including budget and inventory controls.
  • Analyzing data and compiling reports on expenditures, wages, labor, and supplies in relation to hotel financial forecasts and budget.
  • Establishing and maintaining adequate supplies for efficient operation of the department.
  • Distributing and delegating workload to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction with minimum outlay of expenses.
  • Monitoring house count and making staffing adjustments accordingly.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years prior experience in a similar hotel position.
  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Pride in providing excellent service and high level of cleanliness of the rooms for our guests.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Passion for our industry and for providing quality of service to our customers.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of different shifts, including days, evenings and weekends.
