About the Role
Community Healthcare Network is seeking a full-time Medical Director to join their Medical Affairs leadership. This role involves primary care leadership at a CHN Center, supervising clinicians, and ensuring quality primary care in collaboration with center leadership. The position is a blend of clinical and administrative duties, with at least 20% dedicated to administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality primary care and maintain a patient panel.
- Mentor and oversee Primary Care clinicians, conduct regular meetings, and complete annual performance reviews.
- Collaborate with Nursing and Operations leadership to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
- Review and respond to occurrence reports in a timely manner.
- Develop relationships with local organizations.
- Collaborate with clinicians in Psychiatry, Dental, Podiatry, and Optometry.
- Ensure consistent clinician staffing and manage PTO requests.
- Oversee peer reviews of clinician charts and develop performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Support regulatory compliance with various entities.
- Review and oversee quality measures to meet standards and participate in QI projects.
- Participate in network-wide clinical committees and initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with the Director of Primary Care regarding site issues, quality metrics, and clinician concerns.
- Attend and participate in monthly medical director meetings.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding new Primary Care clinicians.
- Monitor time and attendance of site primary care clinicians and approve overtime.
- Communicate with clinicians regarding absences and provide updates during site huddles and staff meetings.
- Review weekly data reports to monitor clinician performance and provide support or disciplinary action.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of approved and accredited training to practice medicine as a Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Current New York State license to practice medicine as a Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Physician or Advanced Practice Nurse leader, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.

- Medical Director (Nurse Practitioner): $173,901–$184,770 USD annually
- Medical Director (Family Medicine): $226,002–$254,252 USD annually
