About the Role

As a Summer Analyst in the Commercial & Investment Bank Research team, you will be part of a dynamic team helping to solve a range of challenging and interesting business issues. Our global Markets teams are active in all major financial markets and develop sophisticated financial solutions to help clients manage risk, increase returns and solve complex financial problems. J.P. Morgan Global Research is one of the world’s most highly respected advisory franchises, providing thoughtful and differentiated fundamental analyses on sectors and companies, and actionable ideas and thematic insights that empower our clients to make well-informed investment and strategic decisions, bringing clarity to complex situations. Research is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. This program offers hands-on experience, skills training, and professional networking, with the potential for full-time employment based on your achievements.

Responsibilities

  • Modeling financial statements and industry dynamics
  • Performing detailed valuation work
  • Assessing relevant news events
  • Analyzing complex data sets
  • Writing research notes, sector pieces, industry and market overviews
  • Advising internal and external clients, corporates and management teams

Requirements

  • Expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028 from Bachelor’s or Master’s program
  • If pursuing a Master’s degree, it must be within 2 years of receiving your Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Proven analytical skills, experience with quantitative (e.g., algebra, statistics, probability) and data analysis
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and economic data and trends
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage your own projects
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Limited sponsorship available for those enrolled in STEM degree programs heavily indexed in finance.
