About the Role
Wegmans cashiers ensure customers have a positive checkout experience by providing proactive customer service in both traditional and self-checkout lanes, aiming to create loyal customers.
Responsibilities
- Engage customers in friendly conversation, make eye contact, smile, offer additional assistance, and thank customers.
- Efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments.
- Properly bag items to ensure product condition.
- Manage traffic flow in the self-checkout area, direct customers, ensure lane functionality, and assist with system troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
