About the Role
Harmonic Security is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own a product area focused on AI Surfaces, the evolving landscape where AI governance must operate. This high-leverage role involves defining product strategy, prioritizing outcomes, and delivering value to customers and the business in a rapidly changing market.
Responsibilities
- Owning a product area end to end, from strategic direction to shipment details, and defending the reasoning.
- Developing and maintaining a market perspective based on customer feedback, competitor actions, and technological advancements.
- Prioritizing investments within the product area and clearly defining success metrics.
- Engaging directly with customers and prospects, including CISOs and CIOs, in sales calls and proof-of-value engagements.
- Collaborating across engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams to influence decisions without formal authority.
- Actively participating in solution-level exploration, including APIs, data analysis, and testing ideas.
- Elevating product management practices through problem framing, documentation, and decision-making.
Requirements
- Previous ownership of a substantial product area or a connected set of problems, with a demonstrated ability to set direction.
- Strong conviction and willingness to commit to a viewpoint in a fast-paced market, while being adaptable to new evidence.
- Comfort and energy for a startup environment with shifting priorities, incomplete information, and the need to build processes concurrently with the product.
- Experience in B2B, particularly selling to and working with large enterprises.
- A background in security, data protection, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience with products enabled via an endpoint agent.
- Deep understanding and application of AI trends and developments in your role.
