About the Role
This is a non-clinical, hybrid healthcare role focused on patient interaction and medical record management. It offers meaningful work and exposure to healthcare operations, with structured, repeatable tasks supported by templates and training.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound phone calls with patients to collect detailed injury and medical histories
- Listen actively and document information with a high level of accuracy using structured templates and internal systems
- Review existing medical records for completeness, clarity, and internal consistency
- Organize and standardize medical information to meet quality and documentation standards
- Ensure patient histories are thorough, consistent, and easy for physicians to understand
- Review work for accuracy before submission
- Follow defined workflows and work expectations, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
- Partner with the operations team to continuously improve processes and quality
Requirements
- Enjoy focused, detail-oriented work and take pride in precision
- Comfortable engaging in thoughtful, sometimes extended conversations with patients
- Can remain calm, empathetic, and professional during sensitive or challenging discussions
- Dependable and able to manage your time independently
- Thrive in structured environments and follow processes consistently
- Interested in gaining exposure to healthcare—especially if you are pre-med, studying public health, nursing, or exploring a career in healthcare
