About the Role
Chelsea Piers seeks a skilled Plumber to join our talented technical maintenance team full-time. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving all plumbing issues across the Chelsea Piers property. This role reports to the Facilities Site Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with plumbing codes
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues across the property, including leaks, clogs, and system failures
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing infrastructure to ensure proper functioning
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems across the property
- Collaborate with the team to address complex plumbing challenges
- Submit accurate work orders and reports using a mobile app
- Communicate effectively with staff, coworkers, and vendors
- Maintain professionalism and high standards of workmanship
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance or construction environments
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- FDNY S-12 and S-13 Certificates of Fitness (or willingness to obtain)
- OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Certification for ladder, scissor lift, and scaffolding safety (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexible availability, including occasional holidays, weekends, and overnight work
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
