About the Role
The CT Technologist will administer direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, aligning with U.S. Urology Partners' philosophy and vision to be a prominent urology practice known for excellent care.
Responsibilities
- Performs basic medical procedures under physician supervision, such as starting IVs, administering contrast media, and taking vital signs.
- Collects and documents patient data, including posting charges and creating chart notes.
- Administers medication according to organizational standards during allergic reactions.
- Scans patients in compliance with ALARA guidelines.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized office environment.
- Maintains CT scanner functionality, including cleaning and performing necessary QA.
- Attends required in-service training for OSHA and HIPPA.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Utilizes exceptional customer service, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for interactions.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Participates in organizational processes to identify and manage safety issues, adhering to policies and using personal protective equipment.
- Participates in and fosters a performance improvement approach for clinical and business activities.
Requirements
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various forms.
- Thorough knowledge of computer information systems.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
