About the Role
We are seeking Self Employed FTTH (Fibre to the Home) Engineers to work on the Openreach network, handling the full installation and maintenance of telecom services for residential and business customers. You will work across Full Fibre networks, delivering end-to-end solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install new telecom services by running overhead lines on utility poles and subducting protective ducts underground.
- Visit customers' homes or businesses to set up internal cabling and ensure new services are working correctly.
- Work with live network infrastructures, including ducts and poles.
- Follow strict safety procedures and ensure all equipment is safe to use.
- Restore sites, leaving locations clean and safe.
- Use company systems to record work and maintain up-to-date information.
Requirements
- Must have experience with both overhead and underground PIA networks.
- Must have the following certifications in date at the time of application: SA001 - OH Safety, S8, SA051C - Tetra, SA002 - UG Safety, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, K8 - Hand Rod & Rope, NRSWA SLG, PIA.
- Additional accreditations such as A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037, and K008 are highly desirable.
Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks.
- Proficiency with power tools.
- Basic IT skills for using mobile job management apps.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Professional approach when dealing with customers, the public, and stakeholders.

Salary/Compensations
- Payments under CIS: Tax will be deducted from your pay before you receive it, and the contractor will pay this directly to HMRC on your behalf.
