About the Role
Join a small, tight-knit team of passionate, intelligent, and driven people at Checkbox. You will work with technologies including Go and AWS to deliver innovative features and products, leveraging best practices and adopting the latest trends in technology including AI. This role offers a sense of individual impact, trust, and continuous growth while solving challenging problems.
Responsibilities
- Work closely in a small, cross-functional product engineering team with a product manager, designer, and other engineers.
- Collaborate with product and design to ideate, discover, design, and implement features across the full stack.
- Collaborate with and often lead the design and development of high-quality technical solutions for the Checkbox platform, including both front-end and back-end development.
- Adopt and exemplify a pragmatic software development mindset with a focus on delivering value to customers while championing the team’s guidelines and standards for high-quality and velocity software development.
Requirements
- Lived experience in strongly-typed languages, preferably Go / Golang.
- Understanding of REST APIs and associated integrations.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, preferably in Event-Driven Architecture (SQS, SNS, Lambdas, ECS/EKS).
- Pragmatic, flexible, and nimble with a desire to solve problems and deliver value to customers quickly.
- Capable and effective at owning the delivery of complex, large-scale features, breaking down requirements and providing reasonable estimates.
- Opinionated but flexible, valuing team collaboration and insight.
- Ability to articulate thoughts, ideas, and concerns effectively.
- Produce high-quality work and be proud of contributions.
- Experience with AI-assisted development.
