About the Role

MWM offers energy solutions based on powerful gas engines used in highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plants for decentralized energy generation. Our customized combined heat and power plants and integrated solutions help our customers make their energy supply efficient, flexible, and future-proof. In 1871, Carl Benz laid the foundation for MWM with the founding of the "Mechanische Werkstätte" in Mannheim. Today, the MWM brand is part of Caterpillar Energy Solutions and combines over 150 years of experience in the development and optimization of gas engines and power generators for natural gas, biogas, and other special gases.

Responsibilities

  • You independently carry out the complete assembly content of X-Change engines or components.
  • Function tests and quality assurance measures, including documentation in existing databases, are routine for you.
  • You independently organize the spare parts required for assembly orders based on parts lists.
  • You are involved in planning and determining the scope of work and scheduling spare parts requirements.
  • You ensure the timely completion of workshop orders in compliance with specified values.
  • You adhere to the applicable occupational safety standards and environmental protection regulations.

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed vocational training as a machine fitter, industrial mechanic, truck/car/agricultural machinery mechanic/tronics technician, cutting mechanic, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have already gained initial professional experience in a workshop environment and have knowledge of engine technology.
  • You are proficient in using a PC or laptop for work documentation and for independent spare parts retrieval.
  • Teamwork, as well as a reliable and independent way of working, are a matter of course for you.
  • Very good German language skills (Level C1) and good English language skills (Level B1).
