About the Role
The Backwaiter supports restaurant operations by delivering food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food to guests promptly and courteously.
- Assist with dining room cleanliness.
- Maintain service stations.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Monitor the expo line and run trays of food.
- Assist guests with any questions.
- Clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors.
- Retrieve and transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
- Restock and clean service stations.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, iced tea machines, and POS systems.
- Interact courteously with guests and notify managers of concerns.
- Follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
- Assist with greeting, seating guests, answering phones, and packaging takeout orders.
- Support with beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service.
Requirements
- No prior experience required; training is provided.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess or obtain a current Food Handler’s Card, where applicable.
- Ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift objects up to 30 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
