About the Role
RSM's Accounting and Finance Consulting (AFC) practice is seeking a Manager with a focus in Gaming and Hospitality Financial Advisory to address the evolving business landscape of casino gaming and hospitality enterprises. This role involves providing a variety of financial consulting services to clients in the gaming and hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical accounting and accounting support to business operations.
- Conduct business process improvement and internal controls assessments.
- Perform advisory projects, including organizational structure analysis, profit enhancement, cash management, and profitability analysis.
- Develop process improvement and policy and procedure documentation.
- Provide timely, high-quality client service, coordinating the development and execution of consulting work plans and deliverables.
- Develop an understanding of client businesses and industries, recognizing key performance drivers, trends, and developments.
- Actively participate with engagement teams, functioning as an in-charge and go-live lead, monitoring productivity, and adhering to work plan schedules.
- Critically solve client and adoption challenges.
- Support the execution and completion of various client deliverables.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Understand RSM's service lines and collaborate to provide integrated service delivery.
- Inform management of opportunities to increase the level and types of services offered to clients.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of business experience or 5+ years in public accounting/consulting services (emphasis in casino and hospitality accounting or operations is a plus).
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong internal control skills and experience in developing and improving internal control systems.
- Strong technical and functional accounting experience in US GAAP and/or IFRS for public or private companies, including financial reporting, and hands-on support and research to solve technical accounting matters with AJE and reconciliations.
- Proven ability to manage staff on projects of varying sizes.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business associates and industry groups.
- Strong presentation, communication, and rapport-building skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 75-80%.
