Responsibilities
- Separate linens and towels by type
- Wash linen following a pre-set formula, dry, fold and iron linen
- Operate laundry equipment
- Follow all training procedures set forth pertaining to blood borne pathogens
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Maintain quality level of all linen
- Sort all linen in preparation of washing
- Wash linen following a pre-set formula, dry, fold and iron
- Perform all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area
- Maintain stock levels
- Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Perform additional laundry services as needed
Requirements
- Mid shift availability: 11AM - 7:30 PM
- Ability to safely operate laundry equipment
- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Occasionally able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
- Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
