About the Role
Shiftwise is seeking an AI Product Manager to lead the strategy, definition, and execution of AI-powered features that transform healthcare workforce management through their VMS platform. This role is for individuals who use AI in their product craft and can shape its integration into a large-scale SaaS platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the AI product strategy, identifying opportunities for AI/ML value creation.
- Translate AI concepts into user experiences and partner with design and engineering for feature delivery.
- Actively use AI tools in daily workflows for research, writing, and decision support.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data science, engineering, customer success, and clinical experts.
- Conduct customer discovery with healthcare administrators, staffing agencies, and clinicians.
- Define success metrics, run experiments, and measure the impact of AI features.
- Educate internal teams and customers on AI's role in the product roadmap.
- Evaluate market trends and competitors to identify product improvement opportunities.
- Deliver the operating plan and achieve growth objectives for market share, revenue, profit, and ROI.
- Develop product briefs and define achievable acceptance criteria.
- Stay updated on work progress and resolve issues during sprints.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and practices.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years in product management (SaaS or enterprise preferred).
- At least 1 year building or managing AI-powered features.
- Hands-on experience using AI/ML in daily product workflows (prompt engineering, prototyping with LLMs, data analysis, etc.).
- Customer-first mindset with proven ability to gather insights, run discovery, and translate needs into solutions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively use technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, support decision-making, and enhance business outcomes while adhering to company policies and responsible AI practices.
