About the Role
The Patient Care Director is responsible for the leadership of clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment and retention, performance evaluation, supply chain and budget, quality improvement, and regulatory survey requirements. This role collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to manage exceptional patient care within the bone marrow transplant unit at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Responsibilities

- Ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory survey requirements
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
- Coordination and management of patient care
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. If currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, must obtain within 1 year of hire. Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in nursing.
- BSN
- Current NYS RN licensure or willingness to obtain
- At least 3 years of clinical experience
- Proven nursing leadership experience, with a proactive approach to management, mentoring, team building and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- BCLS
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a large academic medical center
- At least 2 years of management experience
- All roles require on-site presence
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
