About the Role
The Food Server is responsible for creating the overall guest experience, taking food/beverage orders, carrying out wine/beverage service, performing table maintenance, completing side work, maintaining health code standards, and providing excellent customer service for our guests as defined by outlet standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly quality service to all guests.
- Comply with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain current and accurate knowledge of all menu items.
- Service all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
- Bus tables and complete all side work.
- Assist restaurant host/hostess when required.
- Attend periodic meetings and training sessions.
- Provide outstanding customer and employee service at all times.
- Present a neat and clean appearance at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to applicable statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Ability to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
- Ability to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.
- Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
Skills
- Excellent customer service
- Fluency in English
- Second language proficiency is a plus
